John VanDenBerg

John VanDenBerg was a ministry worker in the religious group known as the 2x2 church (also called "The Truth," "The Way," or "The Church With No Name"). In April 2023, he was removed from ministry following "credible allegations of unacceptable sexual behavior, including a complaint of inappropriate touching of a minor."

Dale Schultz (CA/AZ/HI Overseer) arranged a meeting between John and the victim from the early 1990s incident. John denied remembering the kiss, shocking attendees. No further action was taken.

August 26, 2014

European Trip Email

John sent an email with photos from his European trip. One photo showed "inappropriate position of his hands" with a young girl. A woman who confronted him received a dismissive response: "Sorry that you were offended by the picture."

January 2023
